Abri ensures social value creation is a key consideration when procuring goods and services.
- Where possible, a minimum of 2.5% of the contract must derive social value but this isweighted dependent on the contract value so may in some cases be higher.
- We use the Housing Association’s Charitable Trust (HACT) Value Insight tool to report onand measure the social value we generate from our work with customers and communities. This tool uses the values outlined in the Social Value Bank to provide a basic assessment ofsocial impact, provide evidence of value for money, and compare the impact of differentprogrammes.
- Our clear social value matrix enables our supply chain to choose to be associated with a forward- thinking community-based organisation and to express this through a proportionate commitment to delivering social value as part of their contract.
Abri is committed to reducing our carbon footprint in order to be a net zero carbon business by 2050, during 2021 we have undertaken an extensive exersize in order to assess our scope 3 emissions and develop reduction targets in line with science-based targets, key to our success will be working with suppliers with environmental targets that align to Abri’s aspirations.
During the tender process, potential suppliers are asked to explain, with examples and evidence as to how they will support us on our decarbonisation journey as part of their contract in line with the specification, best practice and future innovations.
Abri has developed a procurement red lines policy in accordance with our new build MMC targets. Please see our Procurement and Contract Management Policy for more information.
