Abri recognises that living costs in the UK are high, as such we are proud to say that Abri always pays, with the exception of apprentices, at least the Real Living Wage. We are also working very hard to ensure that all colleagues are paid according to their experience and abilities and not based on any individual characteristics such as age or sex.
We calculate a number of metrics to track this such as the Gender Pay Gap below.
- Mean Gender Pay Gap increased by 5.7% to 16.8%
- Median Gender Pay Gap increased by 7.6% to 16.5%
- Mean Gender Bonus Gap increased by 3.2% to 82.1%
- Median Gender Bonus Gap is 0%
An increase in our GPG is due to the percentage of males and females joining, leaving, or receiving a change to their hourly pay rate during the year. In particular, three senior females left the business and of our new hires, a greater proportion of females were hired into Bands A and B and a greater proportion of males hired into Bands C and D.
Our actions are focused on attracting, progressing and keeping women in the workforce. In addition to an ongoing GPG action plan, new actions include:
- Using the talent and succession module within LEAP to identify a talent pipeline within Abri
- A women's network to support women at all levels in the organisation
- Using the Gender Decoder product to remove the potential for bias in our job adverts
- Consider becoming signatories of the Tech Talent Charter and Tech She Can Charter
- Maintaining and publicising our robust policies to support women experiencing bullying and harassment in the workplace to create a positive environment in which they can develop and progress their careers
- Holding a series of listening groups to understand the barriers to progression within Abri.
- Calculating our GPG more frequently to assess whether our action plan is having the desired effect.
CEO pay ratio
The CEO pay ratio is calculated by dividing the CEO’s compensation by the pay of the median employee, meaning half of a company’s workers make more and half make less.
This criteria uses the Department of BEIS Methodology:
- 25th percentile: 10.8
- Median: 8.5
- 75th percentile: 6.9
