During 2020 we developed our retrofit roadmap, setting out the approach and phasing Abri would take to ensuring all homes are EPC Band C by 3030 and net zero by 2050. As at the 31 March 2021, 75 per cent of our homes were at EPC Band C or better.
During 2020/2021, the average energy performance of our homes improved by X SAP points, and our average SAP rating at the end of the reporting period was x, which is above the sector average of 69.
Energy efficiency measures put in place in the last 12 months:
- All of our new properties have been built to achieve a minimum EPC rating of B.
- We completed fabric improvements on 329 properties improving energy efficiency and lowering fuel costs for customers.
- 317 new build properties were developed with solar PV systems.
- 179 new Quantum (low-cost, efficient, electric) heating systems were installed.
In 2021 we will be replacing the heating system in 192 of our homes at Sawyers Close, making it more efficient which will also lower fuel costs for our customers.
